Thanks to my Aunt Helen for the recipe for this vassilopita, a Greek new year’s sweet bread. My household usually does galette des rois on Jan 6, but we get it from a bakery and it’s usually a source of grief at the end of a long holiday vacation. Hopefully this handmade bread brings joy and resilience instead.
