National Train Day is coming up! I just ordered a National Train Day t-shirt from the Rail Passengers Association. Now, I have to negotiate with my family where we’re going on May 14.

Note that this is a US event commemorating the Golden Spike in 1869 (nice). The Canadian holiday is on November 7th, commemorating our own rail history.
