I made a bullroarer. I had it on my to-do list for years, but I recently read that Abénaki people in our area of eastern Quebec made them out of slate. I found a likely piece, sanded it down, drilled a hole, and attached a leather thong.
The sound is good; I’d like to experiment with the shape and size and length of the line. All in all, a great experience. And I get to check something off my list!
